Anastasia Sares earned her PhD from McGill University, studying the neural underpinnings of stuttering through behavior and fMRI. She is now a postdoctoral fellow at Concordia studying pitch processing in cochlear implant users. Her interests include sensorimotor integration, pitch/harmony perception, timing perception and synchronization, music and language in special populations, and music therapy.

Anastasia writes science communication articles for Brainpost and the CRBLM, and is also a singer and a flautist with Chorale Musaique.
