Isabelle Peretz to receive the Justine and Yves Sergent Award 2009


The Justine and Yves Sergent Award will be presented to Isabelle Peretz, BRAMS co-director, on Thursday, May 21st, 2009 at the Justine Sergent Symposium, organised by Institut Universitaire de Gériatrie de Montréal.

The International scientific community remembers Justine and Yves Sergent as a devoted and steadfast couple, and Justine Sergent as an unparalleled theoretician and methodologist. Her work on the cognitive organization of the brain commands respect and admiration to this very day.

Pr. Isabelle Peretz, Canada Research Chair in Neurocognition of Music and BRAMS co-director, will be presented with the Justine and Yves Sergent award 2009. Isabelle Peretz will give on this occasion a conference entitled “la biologie de l’a-musique”.
