Andréane McNally-Gagnon, PhD student at BRAMS, works under the supervision of Pr. Sylvie Hébert on earworm music. Following one of her recent internet studies conducted among French speaking people, you can now discover the top 25 earworm song list!
Music can sometimes become quite insistent! We have all once experienced a song that would “get stuck” in our head, running incessantly and compulsively. Until now, few studies had been dedicated to understand the earworm phenomenon. The aim of the internet test recently conducted at BRAMS was to better understand the type of music that French speaking people would most generally recognize as earworms.
