Undergraduate Summer Training
The Auditory Cognitive Neuroscience network is recruiting undergraduates from within and outside Canada to participate in a 16-week research training experience in Auditory Cognitive Neuroscience. Applicants who are currently enrolled in a fulltime undergraduate program in an NSERC-related field (natural science and engineering) are eligible to apply. Please note that medical residents and students holding NSERC, CIHR, or SSHRC fellowships for the same time period are not eligible to apply. The CAN-Encounter research experience is a 16-week, full-time research fellowship, which will start May 4, 2009. Students accepted in the program will receive a $4,500 stipend from the Create grant to cover the full 16-week period. In addition, supervisors are expected to provide $1125 per student from their individual grants toward the stipend. A one-time relocation allowance of up to $600 will be available for those who incur initial travel costs.
