Jorge Armony – “Perception and memory of emotional expressions across modalities and domains”

Jorge Armony, McGill University, will give a lecture at BRAMS on February 4th, 2010, at 4pm entitled “Perception and memory of emotional expressions across modalities and domains”. Prof. Armony is researcher at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute, and he holds the Canada Research Chair in Affective Neuroscience.

ABOUT JORGE ARMONY

Jorge Armony is Associate Professor in Psychiatry at McGill University and researcher at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute. He also holds the Canada Research Chair in Affective Neuroscience. His main research interest focuses on the processing of emotional information and its interactions with cognition in healthy individuals, as well as in psychiatric and neurological populations. To study this, he and his group use behavioral, physiological and neuroimaging (MRI) techniques.
