The job candidate will provide technical support for faculty, graduate and undergraduate students involved in human behavioral research. The focus of our research is on understanding how individuals learn motor skills, and how motor learning is acquired and maintained across the life span. We use computer based tests of motor learning and performance, including a 3D motion capture system to record and analyze human movement and structural and functional neuroimaging studies. The RA will assist in the programming of experimental paradigms for use in a variety of behavioral and neuroimaging experiments. The RA will also work closely with the researchers in developing and implementing of analysis tools for motion capture data based on digital signal processing. In addition, the RA will work assist in the implementation of data analysis for fMRI studies conducted at the Montreal Neurological Institute. The person must be comfortable working with both hardware and software, be able to work in a team-based environment and enjoy solving problems in programming and data analysis.

The qualified person will:
- Have at least a BSC in computer science or related field
- Work with MATLAB, C++/C, Java, C#, .NET
- Have a working knowledge of Unix/Linux systems
- Act as System and Network administrator for Mac and Windows systems
- Operate and maintain Real-Time 3D Motion Capture System
- Have knowledge of digital signal processing
- Design, implement, and maintain lab websites (HTML, JavaScript) and the LAN
- Troubleshooting software, hardware, and common networking issues
- Purchase software and hardware
